We organise activities which address food poverty, reduce food waste, help people eat better, and bring the local community together, including lunch clubs, cookery classes, a community fridge and other food projects. Our activities include lunch clubs, cookery sessions, a community fridge and an apple scrumping project. Most of our activities are now based at our community food hub in St Thomas in Exeter. LOVE Food has now launched a new community food hub in St Thomas! We are based at 95 Cowick St, Exeter, EX4 1JF and are currently open core hours of Monday – Thursday 10am-3pm. There are lots of ways you can get involved with LOVE Food CIC and our activities. You can come along to one of our lunch clubs or cookery sessions, or get involved as a volunteer. Combining the two into one event. Our Bedazzling Book Clubs encourage attendees to engage in an analogue activity, bedazzling covers of their favourite books, or current reads, whilst chatting about books with prompts and discussion points. We also have a book swap area for those looking to bring a book and leave with a new one. The main aim of these events is that you can come solo or with friends. It is a warm and welcoming group of people, and the event is designed so that you can come to just one event or as many as you like as a regular attendee. Book your space the mindful market The Mindful Market is a joyful celebration of wellbeing, community & conscious living. It's our flagship event, which we'll be hosting annually, to bring together the eco-conscious businesses that make up the Circular Social community, to give them a space to exhibit their products and services in an event that is all about being more mindful in our approach to the way we shop, consume and live our day-to-day lives. It's designed to be a family-friendly event where people can come and spend a day in an enjoyable environment. There are nooks and crannies at the venue where activities and performances await discovery! It's all about community and collaboration overall. They open up the possibility for attendees to meet the people behind each of the businesses and learn about what they do, why they do it and what benefits their products or services provide.
