  • Hannah Wisdom Textiles

Textile art created by sewing onto old sea charts to celebrate our coastal heritage. Using rescued and recycled fabrics to create something brand new. < Back Hannah Wisdom Textiles Textile art created by sewing onto old sea charts to celebrate our coastal heritage. Using rescued and recycled fabrics to create something brand new. My original textile artworks are created in my Plymouth, Devon studio, using rescued and recycled fabrics sewn onto old discarded admiralty charts. My works show wildlife, history and culture, and the charts add context, providing an immediate linkage to the environment of the subject. The charts bring their own history to the piece, and I love how their scars and blemishes add an extra layer of interest to the work. My prints are produced by my local fine art printer, using cutting edge 3D scanning technology. This means that my prints show all the texture and depth of the original works, and are often mistaken for the originals! I have a gallery and studio in the old seaplane hangars at Mount Batten. You are welcome to come and pay me a visit! I'm usually there Tues - Fri 10-3, but please get in touch if you are making a special trip, in case I am at a market or need to pop out on an errand. I'm opposite the beach, just along from the cafe, and there is plenty of free parking. There's an events area on this website so you can catch me out and about. Learn more

The last few years have taken me on a journey into the joy and benefits of Sound Therapy, following 30years of teaching young adults with sensory needs. As an adult, until a few years ago meditation was in silence, until I experienced my first Gong Bath, the vibration took me to a place of deep rest and my thirst for knowledge and learning about the use of sound in meditation was truly lit! "Breathing in, I calm my body. Breathing out, I smile.Dwelling in the present moment, I know this is a wonderful moment.” Thich Nhat Hanh Creating an immersive experience using the beautiful sounds of the HandPans, Hand Drums, Gongs, Tibetan & Crystal Singing Bowls, Chimes and Native Flute, with the intention to create a meditative, calming experience for participants, to aid relaxation and a sense of peace. The purpose is for participants to be immersed in Sound, leading them to a place of rest and a sense of calm. Using world instruments known for their pure beautiful sounds, frequency and vibrational qualities, including Gongs, Hang Drum and Hand Pans, Singing bowls, Chimes and Native Flutes. • Dulse & Dahlia

I grow everything that I press from my East Devon cottage garden. I've been rewarded for my insect friendly planting & no pesticides. < Back Dulse & Dahlia I grow everything that I press from my East Devon cottage garden. I've been rewarded for my insect friendly planting & no pesticides. My Granny gave me my first flower press when I was 7; she helped me press some of her garden pansies. When I took them out of the press, I was hooked! The seaweeds I press & print are from local beaches. I only collect drift seaweed washed up on the tideline. I don't have or want a website, I'd prefer to sell through local craft fairs, shops & galleries. As I need to save time to be in my garden. You can find me and my work on Instagram. Fill your feed with artwork and tidbits from making my art! Learn more

  • Static Whiskers

I’m a lifelong cat lover and trusted sitter who knows every kitty has their own personality and needs. < Back Static Whiskers I’m a lifelong cat lover and trusted sitter who knows every kitty has their own personality and needs. Hello, I’m Sasha. When I’m not working as a self employed carer, I spend my time with my own four kitties called Phoebe, Thanos, Nebula, Elektra and the new addition, Rocket. I would describe myself as the crazy cat lady! I’ve been around cats for as long as I can remember — growing up, my home was always filled with furry paws, gentle purrs, and playful personalities. Caring for cats became second nature to me, from feeding and grooming to learning how to earn the trust of even the shyest kitties. Those early experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and just how special the bond with a cat can be. Today, I bring that same love and understanding into my cat sitting, treating every cat I care for as if they were my own. I’m a lifelong cat lover and trusted sitter who knows every kitty has their own personality and needs. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping their routine on track, I make sure your cat feels safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. 🐾 My services include: Feeding and fresh water Litter box cleaning Playtime and cuddles (if your cat wants them!) Daily updates and photos for your peace of mind Learn more
