Leadworks

Leadworks Projects CIC in Stonehouse, is a self-funded, volunteer-led creative hub. It offers a café-bar, public living room, book-sharing library, artists’ studios, makers’ area, performance space, workshop rooms and exhibition galleries, as well as being a venue for hire.

Leadworks is an exciting and innovative social enterprise that thinks outside the box. Created in 2019 when the need for more creative, flexible and accessible spaces for grassroots arts and community organisations was realised, Leadworks is focussed on community connection and transformation.

As a welcoming space, it is also home to Plymouth’s first community fridge, providing free food without referral. Leadworks hosts and supports grassroots organisations working with disabled people, those with mental health needs, LGBT+ communities, refugees, and individuals experiencing homelessness.

Lead Works thrives through the collective efforts of local residents, volunteers and community groups, embodying equity, creativity and civic participation.
